The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials adn Shell Oil Company are proud to sponsor the Summer Legislative Intership Program an opportunity for future Latino leaders across the country. The program provides youn Latino undergraduate students with the opportunity to get hands on experience in policy making at the federal, state and local levels of government. Students receive a $1,500 stipend and transportation to and from Philadelphia and Washington D.C. The 1999 SLIP program is already off to a great start. We are now moving into the intense outreach mode. We have extended the DEADLINE to March 12, 1999, they must be received by this date.
