Achieving Growth Management through Public Open Space Acquisition:
Realities and Prospects


The DeVoe Moore Center symposium on Achieving Growth Management through Public Open Space Acquisition was held in Tallahassee on Friday, February 15th and Saturday, February 16th, 2008. The event featured papers from ten researchers and practitioners covering a range of topics related to land acquisition initiatives in Floridaand elsewhere. In addition to the participants, the event was attended by over 25 individuals, including state government representatives, members of the environmental lobby, and faculty and students from Florida State University.
