James P. Sickinger (Ph.D., Brown)

He is the author of Public Records and Archives in Classical Athens (Chapel Hill:
University of North Carolina Press, 1999) and co-editor
of Gestures: Essays in Ancient History, Literature, and Philosophy
presented to Alan L
Boegehold (Oxford: Oxbow, 2003). From 2002 to 2005 Sickinger was the Andrew
W. Mellon Professor of Classical Studies at the American School of
Classical Studies at Athens.
