Deb Trusty (BA Archaeology, University of Evansville, MA Classical Archaeology, FSU) began the PhD program at FSU in the fall of 2007. Her interests lie in Bronze Age Aegean Archaeology, especially iconography and Mycenaean/Minoan pottery. In addition to a PhD, she is working toward a Masters certificate in Museum Studies. She spent the summer of 2006 and 2007 supervising excavations at the Petsas House at Mycenae under the direction of Dr. Kim Shelton (UC Berkeley). Also, in the summer of 2007 she was a member of the Saronic Harbor Archaeological Research Project, directed by Dr. Daniel Pullen (FSU) and Dr. Tom Tartaron (Penn).
She recently presented a paper entitled "A Comforting Massacre: Onesimos and the Ilioupersis" at the CAMWS-SS meeting in November 2006. This topic later became the subject for her Master's paper (Spring 2007).
Deb served as president of the archaeology club in 2006-2007.
