Garth Haller (B.A. Classical Archaeology, University of Michigan) is pursuing his M.A. in Classical Civilizations. He has excavated a late Republican Roman fort at Sanisera in Menorca, Spain. Garth is interested in art from Archaic Greece to the late Roman Republic, especially Archaic Greek pottery. He not only enjoys studying their aesthetic aspects but aspires to further his studies in the conservation, preservation, and restoration of ancient pottery. He plans to gain further excavation experience next summer in Greece and is considering a career in both archaeology and conservation.
