| What is the Graduate Student Symposium on the Ancient Mediterranean World? |

| The Department of
Classic at The Florida State University sponsors the Symposium to give students
the opportunity to present papers in a professional setting. The Committee
invites abstracts dealing with some aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world
before A.D. 500/500 C.E. from any graduate student (or senior writing an honors
thesis) at The Florida State University. We especially welcome abstracts from students in the Departments of
Classics, Anthropology, Art History, Humanities, History, Religion, and
Philosophy, though graduate and senior honors students from any department of
the university are welcome to submit an abstract. |
