Preliminary Schedule

Cetamura Del Chianti is an Etruscan/Roman hilltop settlement in the heart of the chianti district of Tuscany, where FSU has sponsered excavations and research since 1973. The 2006 Season was perhaps the most exciting to date, and as a start to understanding the new finds, the students of the crew of 2006 invite the public to hear presentations on the latest restults! The new information about worshipping the Etruscan God(s) at Cetamura is particularly interesting.

This symposium was conceived to bring together and review the current state of research on Cetamura, and to look to the future of excavation and publication of the site. Almost all the talks will be presented by students, who have worked under the guidance of Dr. Nancy de Grummond, Director of the Field School at Cetamura.
