The Florida State University Student Archaeology Club’s purpose is to increase students’ knowledge of archaeological topics and to foster an interest in preserving knowledge of our valuable cultural heritage.  We will be involved in co-sponsoring lectures on archaeological topics with the local chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America and the Florida State University department of Classics.  In addition to these activities, the club also seeks to offer its members opportunities to visit museum collections of ancient art and artifacts, in order to gain a better understanding of ancient cultures.  The club works closely with the Anthropology Club in order to promote the professional development of all graduate members.  The Florida State University Student Archaeology Club is a graduate student organization open to all Florida State University students, graduate and undergraduate alike, who have an interest in archaeology and classical antiquity.
