Dear 2009 C.A.R.E. Student:

Once again, on behalf of the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement, I would like to welcome you to Florida State University.  Enclosed you will find all the information needed to begin the CARE Summer Bridge Program in good standing.  Please read ALL of the information in this packet.  Not doing so could result in financial or unnecessary liabilities.

The C.A.R.E. Summer Bridge Program will begin on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Check-in will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in front of Landis Hall, the hall in which you will be living.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHECK-IN OR ACCESS THE RESIDENCE HALLS PRIOR TO 10:00 AM.  YOU MUST REPORT TO CAMPUS ON THIS DATE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.

PLEASE BRING VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION (Passport, Military ID, Drivers License, DMV ID Card or Original Birth Certificate). A form of identification will be required to obtain a FSUCard.

There will be a full week of mandatory orientation activities with classes beginning on June 29, 2009. This means you will be unable to travel home with your parents or elsewhere during the week of June 21 – 26, 2009. During Orientation week you will be registering for summer and fall classes.

Please make sure to take care of all the details included in this packet. While I understand this is a lot of information, every detail and document is important to your success in the C.A.R.E. program.
