< Attention ALL Student Organizations: The CARE Summer Bridge Program will begin June 20, 2009 and end August 8, 2009. Every year we invite student organizations to participate in this program by offering the opportunity to host an event(s) during the program. This year we expect approximately 350 new students to participate in the program. We would like for our students to become familiar with all of the Florida State University’s campus by personally introducing them to the various, diverse organizations on campus. Please take the time to review your calendar and let us know if you will be able to host any activities. If your organization is interested in hosting an event please submit the event form, which is attached or can be accessed on the CARE homepage at www.care.fsu.edu (under the Activities Calendar 2009 link), by May 15, 2009 to: Florida State University Or: Campus Mail- MC 2450 Upon receipt of everyone’s proposed events, we will finalize our summer calendar and inform all organizations of approved events. Be advised that proposed events should be constructive and geared towards helping first year students acclimate to campus life. Events should be educational or cultural in nature, and will be held to appropriate standards. The proposal needs to be completed and returned by May 15, 2009. ***THIS YEAR STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HOLD EVENTS IN LANDIS HALL. ONLY HOUSING AND CARE EVENTS WILL BE HELD IN LANDIS HALL. *** In addition, on June 20, 2009 the CARE students will begin moving into Landis Hall. In the past we have enjoyed overwhelming support from student organizations in welcoming the students by helping with move-in activities and offering support. We ask all student organizations that wish to participate in this effort to sign up for a time slot, 10am-12pm; 12-2pm; 2-4pm. You can use this event towards fulfilling Servscript hours.
