Art Garfunkel

One of the great voices in pop music, Art Garfunkel became an indelible part of American culture in the 1960s, when his “beautiful countertenor” (New York Times) graced the classic songs of Simon & Garfunkel, including “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence” and “Mrs. Robinson,” to name a few. Since then, Garfunkel has charted his own course, accruing pop hits (“For All I Know”), film roles (Catch 22, Carnal Knowledge) and books of poetry. Lately, he’s turned his golden tone to the Great American Songbook, crooning tunes by Gershwin, Mercer and Arlen. He’ll lean on the latter when he performs at Ruby Diamond, but he’ll dust off the hits, as well.
