Full and Spare: Ceramics in the 21st Century
Take what you know about ceramics and set it aside. Whether up-scale installation art or pedestal-sized discrete objects, artists working in clay in the 21st century are offering a full range of statements, from the personal to the global. Guided by the expertise of studio artists, the Museum surveys the field of bright newcomers and vigorous professional ceramists for this exhibition, which pairs private symbolism with extroverted excessiveness. The exhibition runs through March 23.
