Chick Corea & Bela Fleck
Two of the most gifted and adventurous improvisers in the world on their respective instruments, pianist Chick Corea and banjo player Bela Fleck unite for an evening of duets in Ruby Diamond Auditorium.
Corea owns 12 Grammys and an impeccable resumé that includes stints with Miles Davis and Stan Getz, as well as the legendary fusion band he founded, Return To Forever. He’s released numerous acclaimed solo efforts and written a handful of jazz standards. Fleck, meanwhile, is the most versatile and innovative banjo-picker in the world, fearlessly navigating bebop, bluegrass and everything in between. He’s earned 8 Grammys with his band, The Flecktones.
Despite their different backgrounds, the two musicians achieve a rapport that The Washington Post dubs “supernatural.”
