Barrage
This 10-member collective of unbridled enthusiasm isn’t called Barrage by accident – “Barrage comes aptly named: a wall of noise, light and rhythm that never lets up…the troupe hits with megaton impact,” claims The Boston Globe. A contemporary string ensemble of seven violins plus bass, drums and guitar, Barrage performs
an eclectic and athletic mix of song and dance, while offering up a diverse fusion of cultures and musical styles. The troupe
combines contemporary world music with layered vocal arrangements and pulsating modern beats, as played by musicians with rock star looks, strong vocals and high energy. As The Irish Times said, “Barrage is doing for the violin what Michael Flatley did
for the Irish jig.”
