Important Dates
- Sept 15, 2008 - 0ct 2, 2008 - BFA Design Blackboard Organization Open Enrollment
- Sept 30, 2008 - 0ct 2, 2008 - Portfolio Submissions Accepted
- Oct 9, 2008 - Acceptance Emails Sent Out / List posted in front of the Art Office
- Oct 13, 2008 - FSU Spring Registration begins
NOTE: The BFA in Design application process takes place during fall and spring semesters only.
Requirements
Review the entrance requirements appropriate to you:
- Requirements for students applying as Juniors (you have 60-90 credit hrs)
- Requirements for students applying as Seniors (you have 90-120 credit hrs)
Application Process
- Check the requirements for your number of credit hours (SENIORS or JUNIORS)
- If you feel you meet the requirements, join the BFA Design Studio Art Organization in Blackboard (find detailed instructions here).
- Prepare your portfolio. Your Portfolio should include four files, one must be your answer to the Fall 2008 Common Design Project: Democracy Project.
The files you submit may be:
- In .jpg, or .png format. All image files must be 800 or fewer pixels on their longest side.
- You may upload time-based work in .gif, .mov, or .swf format. All animations and videos must be 15 seconds or less in duration.
- Upload your portfolio to Blackboard between September 30, 2008 and 0ctober 2, 2008. Detailed instructions will be available on the BFA Design Studio Art Organization Site in Blackboard.

Absolutely no late portfolios will be accepted for Fall Entrance after 0ctober 2, 2008. If you miss the application deadline, apply during the NEXT semester. NOTE:The application process for BFA in Design takes place during fall and spring semesters only.
