Pictured is Phyllis Straus welding a large sculpture of a giraffe in front of the Fine Arts Building in conjunction with the 2007 two-person exhibition "Straus and Straus" at the Museum of Fine Arts (MOFA). Phyllis retired from her role as faculty and art student advisor in December 2007. She was honored for her years of service in conjunction with a naming ceremony for the new "Phyllis Straus Gallery" at the BFA Warehouse, Railroad Square Art Park.
