From the Chair
The department benefits from the Museum of Fine Arts (MOFA) for student and faculty exhibitions, and a regular cycle of stimulating exhibition programming often in concert with art faculty curatorial expertise. The highly ranked Department of Art History assists our students obtain an essential understanding of art by offering a broad range of courses with distinguished faculty. Related programs in the College and University provide additional experiences and collaborative opportunities in dance, film, theatre, and music. Conversely, the department serves as a resource to the rest of the College and University, providing exhibitions, visiting artist lectures, and foundation courses for related programs.
