Welcome

While the accompanying submission guidelines resemble the national Program Committee's, ours are somewhat less restrictive.We invite proposals that deal with American Studies, broadly conceived: proposals for individual papers OR proposals for entire sessions, presentations, performances, films, roundtables, or workshops (our link for our CFP is on your left).

Our host committee welcomes queries from scholars and other knowledgeable people who are interested in engaging in a substantive, thoroughly interdisciplinary conference. We specifically encourage proposals that include panelists knowledgeable in museum studies, material culture, visual culture, the performing arts, folklore, and local history. Early February is an especially delightful time to come to the Gulf, and we are planning several outings accordingly. Won't you join us?
