Adult
Education & Human Resource Development Program

Strong Tradition, Innovative Directions

The information below is for current students only. The program is undergoing modification and an updated website will be available shortly.

Thank you for your interest in the Adult Education/Human Resource Development graduate degree program at Florida State University . This program is in the process of being transferred to the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems (EPLS), where it will operate under the aegis of the existing Instructional Systems program as part of a new major combining HRD and Performance Improvement. The move will ensure a larger faculty, a broader network of alumni in the professional field, and lower costs for students than we have been able to offer at our current location.

A new website is under development within the EPLS Department and is slated for activation in June 2007. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during the interim. We invite you to check back again here for updated information and to consult directly the website of the Instructional Systems program, where material concerning the new major will soon be posted.

This existing website is left in place for the uses of presently enrolled degree and Certificate students in Adult Education/HRD, who will be completing the program of studies under which they were admitted.

Inquiries concerning the new HRD and Performance Improvement major in Instructional Systems should be directed to Dr. Rita-Marie Conrad at rita.conrad@fsu.edu. Dr. Conrad is coordinating the transition work and can answer questions about admissions to the new program. Inquiries concerning completion of coursework for graduate degrees and the Certificate in the existing Adult Education/HRD program from students already enrolled should be directed to Dr. Peter Easton at peaston@fsu.edu.

We look forward to serving your needs and building on the strength of HRD and Performance Improvement studies at Florida State University !
