The Sailing Club at Florida State has two teams, an intercollegiate & offshore team that travel all over the southeast.

The intercollegiate team competes against other colleges in the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA) conference. Most racing occurs in two-person dinghys. The usual boats are 420s, JY15s, Vanguard 15s, FJs, and Lasers. The team is co-ed and is open to any member who is a current undergraduate student at FSU. You do not have to have sailing experience to race. The team competes throughout the country during both fall & spring seasons. The team travels to regattas almost every weekend. The intercollegiate team holds practices during the week in preparation for the weekend regattas. Contact Mauricio Galarce for more Race Team information.

Our offshore race team is open to any club member. No experience is necessary to join. These teams compete in the the Appalachee Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) series which are held throughout the course of the year. Contact Clint Matlock for more information about this.
