Welcome to the FSU Sailing Club Webpage! The Sailing Club at Florida State University exists to allow FSU Students, Faculty, and Staff to participate in the sport of sailing. Sailing is a club sport, sponsored by the FSU Student Government. Currently the club is involved in intercollegiate racing, offshore racing, & pleasure cruising. The club has two offshore boats, 2 J/24’s that are sailed at Shell Point. There are 6 Vanguard 15's, one Laser, 6 FJ's, and 2 Mistral sailboards found at the Reservation and at Shell Point. We offer lessons in both boat sailing and windsurfing and racing lessons for members interested in the race team. Members also have the chance to hone their skills required to skipper our two offshore keel boats. We sail mostly at the Seminole Reservation on Lake Bradford and at Shell Point on the Gulf of Mexico. The Sailing Club meets on Thursdays at 7pm at Crenshaw Lanes in the Student Union. No one is required to have any sailing experience to be a member of the club! Contact us at: fsusailingassociation@yahoo.com **Because we are a sports club, we require our members to pay dues. Dues for students are on a limited time discount of $25 per semester or $40 for the year. Paying your dues entitles you to access all of our equipment. Once you have been certified, you may use the boats at your leisure. Members must also participate in 2 days servicing the club; whether it be a fundraiser, work day, or the information table in the Student Union. Non-members are allowed to attend up to 2 events per semester before they are required to pay dues. Please feel free to contact any of the officers if you have any questions.
