Credit Evaluation

All coursework and/or examination credit (e.g. AICE, AP, IB, CLEP) is posted on your unofficial transcript, which can be accessed through the "Secure Apps" tab on Blackboard. Courses accepted for credit as well as those not accepted for credit will appear on your unofficial transcript.

If you have earned the AA degree from a Florida public institution, or were admitted "subject to completion of the AA degree," you will receive a minimum of 60 semester hours of transfer credit. You will enter Florida State as a junior and will have satisfied our Liberal Studies (general education) requirements.

The Division of Undergraduate Studies will complete a Liberal Studies evaluation of all non-AA transfer students, and that evaluation will be sent to you.

Your academic college will determine the credits that will be applicable towards your degree program.

If you have additional coursework and/or examination credits that are not listed on the Florida State unofficial transcript, please forward an official transcript from your previous institution and/or official examination results to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible. Your credits will continue to be evaluated as additional information arrives.

If you have questions about your credit evaluation before you enroll at Florida State, please contact the Office of Admissions by email at admsofficer@admin.fsu.edu or by phone at 850.644.6200.
