Repayment of Financial Aid for Withdrawals and
Drops below Full-Time Status

Withdrawing from all of your
classes during any term or reducing your schedule after financial aid disbursement
to below the number of credits required by the type of aid being received
could cost you.
Federal regulations require the repayment
of all or a portion of federal financial aid used to pay fees or disbursed
directly to the student when a student withdraws from the University, drops
below half-time, or has his/her scheduled cancelledduring a semester. The
actual repayment amount will depend on the type of aid and the date of
the withdrawal, drop, or cancellation. This applies to federal financial
aid programs, including:
- Pell Grants
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
- Perkins Loans
- Stafford Loans
- Plus Loans
Other forms of financial aid may also be affected.
