All of the State Farm Florida Service-Learning & Home Safety Initiative grants for the 2007-2008 school year have been awarded. We are not currently accepting applications for grants. Please contact Amy Kochanasz for more information on State Farm Florida Service-Learning & Home Safety Initiative grants. Funding Purpose The overall purpose of each grant is to engage students in service learning - school and/or community service activities that apply academic curricula and education standards - to raise public awareness about building codes and home disaster preparation, mitigation, response, and recovery. Now in its third year, the focus of the program is shifting from supporting new service-learning activities and expenses to supporting efforts to expand, replicate, teach others about, create products for, sustain, and disseminate information about existing successful efforts. Funding Levels We are not currently accepting applications for grants. Grantees for the 2007-2008 school year are all Renewal Projects, eligible to apply for up to $8,500. Six grants have been awarded for the third and final year of this partnership. How to Apply We are not currently accepting applications for grants. You are welcome to review the 2007-08 Request for Proposals to gain a sense of what each project must accomplish in the final year of funding. There are several required attachments referenced in the RFP. Click here to download Word (*.doc) files of the Attachments. Questions? For more information, contact Amy Kochanasz at 850-488-3123. |
