YOUR ACCEPTANCE TO THE UNIVERSITYThe Online Status Check on the Admissions website contains the most current admission record. Please take advantage of this tool in order to verify the following information:
CONDITIONS OF ADMISSIONAll Transfers: Any change in your reported college schedule of classes, and/or unsatisfactory performance in those classes, could result in your admission being rescinded. You may use our Online Status Check feature to see if your final transcript(s) have arrived. Florida Associate in Arts Degree (AA) Transfers: If you have been admitted subject to the completion of the AA degree, you must send us your final transcript with the degree posted immediately upon graduation. If you do not expect to receive the AA degree, you must notify us. Without the AA degree, your admission is subject to cancellation. Other Transfers: If you have been admitted subject to final college transcript(s), this information must be received immediately upon completion of coursework. If you are unable to meet the conditions of admission, you must notify us. Your offer of admission is subject to cancellation. TRANSFER CREDITYour transfer credits are evaluated by the Evaluation and Posting Section in the Office of Admissions and recorded on your FSU transcript. That information is then mailed to you. If you have not earned an AA degree from a Florida public institution prior to your transfer, an evaluation of your credits will be completed by the Office of Undergraduate Studies to determine what coursework will satisfy our liberal studies requirements. If you are an upper-division transfer student, your credits are also evaluated within your academic division to determine what coursework will apply toward the degree requirements of your major. CREDIT BY EXAMINATIONUp to 45 semester hours of credit are available by taking AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP tests and achieving appropriate scores. To receive credit, have your official test scores sent directly to us. During this event, you meet in small groups to become acquainted with University policies and procedures, participate in academic advising, and register for classes. Detailed information on dates and how to sign up will be sent to you by the Orientation Office. Orientation information and registration can also be found online at www.orientation.fsu.edu/. Back to topREQUIRED HEALTH INFORMATIONHealth Form: As an incoming student you are required by Florida law to complete the Student Health History Form and return it to the Thagard Student Health Center no later than your scheduled orientation date or you will be unable to register for classes. Health Insurance: FSU requires its students to have health insurance. You must either enroll in the University-sponsored plan or provide proof of comparable health insurance coverage. You will be unable to register for classes until this requirement is met. If you elect to enroll in the University-sponsored plan, charges will be assessed to your student account, the cost of meeting this requirement will be included in financial aid considerations.
