College of Motion Picture, Television, and Recording Arts

Florida State’s College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts emphasizes film production, screenwriting, and aesthetics. You will learn the complete process of creating short films and, at the same time, receive a broad liberal arts education. The College recommends that all students study one semester overseas in the London, England or Florence, Italy study centers. The films made by Florida State students, requisites for their degree, are funded entirely by the university. This is the only film conservatory in the nation to provide this support. The school is extremely competitive and a top ten public film school.
