• Seminole Student Boosters
Alvarez achieved Dean’s List recognition during all of her semesters as an undergraduate at FSU by maintaining a GPA of 3.8, and graduated in 2004. She recently received the Fry Hammond Barr Scholarship in Hispanic Marketing Communication.
Alvarez is leading the first Student Booster program in the state. She was asked to serve as its president because of the wide array of activities in which she demonstrated leadership as an undergraduate, including her work as vice president of the Student Alumni Association. During her tenure she created “Blast with the Past,” a now annual event on Landis Green to celebrate FSU history. She also served as vice president of the Garnet and Gold Girls.
The Student Boosters Association, which began with 15 students, has grown to 800 members under Alvarez’s leadership. She is responsible for the planning of the Fall Student Pep Rally for all athletics and the Marching Chiefs.
Alvarez received her high school education at Glades Day School in Belle Glade, Florida. She plans to work for a Fortune 500 company, opening up new marketing opportunities in the Hispanic community.
Alvarez has been an outstanding FSU student who has made a large commitment to community service.
