State University in Dahlonega, Ga. Sheila M. McDevitt (B.A., J.D. '68) was elected
vice chair of the Saint Leo University Board of Trustees. J. Lester Kaney (B.A., J.D. '72) is board certified as a trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Boston, Mass. Richard D. Mars (B.S., J.D. '82) is board certified as a trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Boston, Mass. Bill J. Montford III (B.S., M.S. '71) was
named 2002 Florida Superintendent of the Year by the Florida
Association of District School Superintendents. Marjorie Jean Meyer (B.A.) is president/CEO
of Prime Site Inc. and has been elected vice chair of the Community
Associations Institute. Mary L. Pankowski (Ph.D.), at age 61, has graduated and received her law degree from FSU's law school. Danny A. Pietrodangelo (B.A.) was a finalist in the New York Festivals and won silver awards in the Worldfest Houston and the national Telly Awards for producing the documentary, "Homeless in an All-America City." Arthur E. Teele Jr. (J.D.) was elected to
serve on the 11-member Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority
Board. Martha Taschereau Harris (M.S.) is senior
vice president for external relations for the University of Southern
California. Clifton C. Curry Jr. (B.S.) was chosen to
represent Florida on President Bush's National Business Advisory
Board. He was one of the Bush-Cheney 2000 Election Attorneys
for the Tampa area. Debra Thompson Neal (B.A.) is writing for
a local children's magazine, Colorado Springs Kids. She writes
a monthly feature called "Bargain Central." G. Timothy Laney (B.S., B.S. '84) is president
of Bank of America Florida. His office is in Jacksonville. Linda Thomas Straus (M.F.A.) is interactive
creative supervisor for RTC Direct in Washington, D.C. Roger M. Dobson (B.S.) has won the 2001 World Police and Fire Games Championship race at 10,000 meters in Indianapolis, Ind. He serves on the Florida Department of Corrections Wellness Education Committee. Kelly L. Elefant (B.S.) has joined the Denver law firm of Isaacson, Rosenbaum, Woods & Levy P.C. as an associate. Stepen P. Kujawa (B.M.E.) teaches vocal music at Delgado Community College in New Orleans. David L. Sollars (Ph.D.) was nominated by
Chancellor Guin A. Nance as an outstanding business educator
at Auburn University Montgomery. Robert B. McCannell (B.A.) has covered high school and amateur sports for the Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis, as well as writing free lance sports articles about college sports, AAA baseball and the NBA for more than a dozen newspapers and magazines. Christopher B. Noll (B.S.) recently became
the director of career services at the University of Southern
California School of Engineering. Megan Nunnery Crampton (B.S.) was promoted to a senior manager of Ernst & Young LLP, a professional services firm. U.S. Army Capt. Sean Pirone (B.A., M.S. '95)
has completed Joint Air Operations training and is serving in
Korea as a liaison to the U.S. Air Force. Laura L. Jacobs (B.S., J.D. '97) has joined the Tallahassee firm of Lewis, Longman & Walker P.A. Robert D. Long (M.S.) has received the "Instructor of the Year" award for Region 7 of the World Tang Soo Do Association, which includes more than 20 studios in six southeastern states. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial art. Kristen Snyder (B.S.) has joined Southeastern Plastic Surgery as a physician's assistant in Tallahassee. Brian S. Wood (B.S.) has joined the construction
group of the law firm of Ober/Kalerin in Baltimore, Md. Jennifer C. Hunt (B.S.) has graduated from
the University of Richmond School of Law and become an associate
with Moran Kiker Brown PC, a products liability law firm in Richmond,
Va. Rebecca A. Baynard (B.S.) was recently promoted to vice president of Bank of America's Jacksonville office as a commercial loan underwriter. Melissa Russell McCullough-Campbell (B.S.) recently became an associate with the law firm of Rissman, Weisberg, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue and McLain. She now represents insurance companies, specializing in insurance fraud litigation in Orlando. Craig B. Evans (B.S.) has received an M.B.A. from University of North Florida and become assistant vice president and credit manager with the Merrill Lynch banking group in Chicago. Jennifer Bishop Shimek (B.S.) was promoted
to a manager of Ernst & Young LLP, a professional services
firm. Cadra D. Culley (B.S.) has received a B.F.A. in art education from Georgia State University. Peter O. Mason (B.A.) is president of the board of the Englewood Area Chamber of Commerce. Michael R. Ohle (B.S.) recently joined the Tampa office of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell as an associate practicing general civil trial defense. Carolina Wibmer (M.A.C.C.) was promoted to
a manager of Ernst & Young LLP, a professional services firm.
Thomas A. Warnock (B.A.) recently joined White
and Williams LLP in Philadelphia, as an associate in the Commercial
Litigation Department. Cynthia E. Fussell (B.A.) recently received her commission as a naval officer after completing Officer Candidate School at Naval Aviation Schools Command, Naval Air Station in Pensacola. Michele A. Martinez (B.S.) was awarded a $10,000
KPMG Minority Accounting Doctoral Scholarship at the University
of South Florida for the 2001-2002 academic year. Barry E. Hudspeth (B.S.) recently received his commission as a naval officer after completing Officer Candidate School at Naval Aviation Schools Command, Naval Air Station, in Pensacola. Valerie L.
