Charles G. Ashley (B.S.) retires as head of Georgia School Boards
Association.
Thomas A. Waits (B.S.) received from FSU the Industry Recognition
Award for outstanding dedication to the faculty and students
of the Dedman Department of Hospitality.
Danny F. Whipple (B.S) received the Preston Greene Legacy
Award during Music Florida 2000 for outstanding contributions
in music ministry.

Nancy Cubbon Sheridan (B.A., M.S. '67) was a member of the People-to-People
Ambassador delegation for Reading and Literacy to Cuba.
David W. Whipple (B.S.) received the Preston Greene Legacy
Award during Music Florida 2000 for outstanding contributions
in music ministry.

Barbara Davis Blum (B.S., M.S. '59) is on the board of directors
of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospital
in Oakland, Calif.
1961
Betty L. Siegel (Ph.D.) won the Lifetime Achievement Award of
the Atlanta Business Chronicle for serving education, business
and the community.
1964
Dr. Riley H. Lunn (B.A.) was named Outstanding Alumnus by the
University of Tennessee's College of Dentistry.
Mark Wilcox (B.S., M.S. '69) has retired from Broward County's
J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs and as a colonel
in the Air Force Reserves.

Margaret "Margo" O' Connor Hall (M.A., S.P.E. '90)
will be the first woman principal at Leon High School in Tallahassee.
1966
Michael D. Annis (M.A.) has joined Foley & Lardner from Annis,
Mitchell, Cocke, Edwards & Roehn PA in Tampa.
1968
Clifford L. Colnot (B.M.E.) has made a career of breaking musical
genre boundaries as a composer, conductor, arranger, orchestrator
and educator.

James L. Main (B.S.) is on the director's committee at Holland
& Knight LLP in Jacksonville.
Dr. Mark S. Wrighton (B.S.) is a new member of the American
Philosophical Society.
Judge William L. Gary (B.S., J.D. '71) is in his second two-year
term as chief judge in Leon County.

Sally Dee Millward Kest (B.A., J.D. '72) received the Orange
County Bar Association's 2001 William J. Trickel Jr. Professionalism
Award.

Herbert W. Brownett (B.S., M.B.A. '73) is the 2001 recipient
of CFMA's Joe Quigley Award, a national award to an outstanding
construction financial professional.
Philip L. Doughty (Ph.D.) is director of evaluation for a
Pacific Region Teacher Education via Technology Project for the
U.S. Department of Education.
Joanna Barren Hayes (B.S.) was named The Most Distinguished
Alumnus in the Public Schools by the College of Education Alumni
Association of FSU.
Philip B. Parker (B.A.) is senior account executive at Publication
Studio and The Newsletter Factory.
Mulatu Wubneh (M.S., Ph.D. '76) is an adjunct faculty member
for the two-week senior leader seminar being held by the Africa
Center for Strategic Studies in Libreville, Gabon. He will lead
discussions among senior civilian and military officials from
Africa, Europe and the United States.

Eduardo E. Arrocha (B.A.) has joined Grey Worldwide Argentina
as its new president/CEO in Buenos Aires.

Susan P. Conner (M.A. '74, Ph.D. '77) is vice president and dean
of Florida Southern College in Lakeland.

James H. Ammons II (M.S.P., Ph.D. '77) is chancellor of North
Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C.
Dany M. Ray (B.S.) received the Coverdell Award for Excellence
recognizing outstanding American educators.

William G. Capko (B.S., J.D. '79) is shareholder of Lewis, Longman
& Walker P.A. at the West Palm Beach office.
Jonelle St. John (B.S.) is on Motient Corporation's board
of directors in Reston, Va.
Dr. M. Jean Keller (B.S., M.S. '77) was named the 2001 J.B.
Nash Scholar by the American Association for Leisure and Recreation
in Denton, Texas.
Katherine Taylor Urban (B.A.) is executive vice president,
Operations, of Amadeus North America.
David W. Wilcox (B.S., J.D. '79) has joined the real estate
and corporate services departments of Kirk Pinkerton in Bradenton.

Linda C. Alexionok (B.S.) is full-time president of Guaranty
National Bank's holding company, Evergreen Bancshares Inc. of
Tallahassee.
Rick Hollahan (B.S.) was appointed to an executive position
of XcelleNet Inc. to strengthen its marketing and information
technology systems functions in Atlanta.
Philippe C. Jeck (B.S.) received the 2001 Child Advocacy Award
from the School District of Palm Beach County for outstanding
advocacy.

Doug M. Guetzloe (B.S.) received the Founders Award for outstanding
achievement as chairman of Ax the Tax, a citizens taxpayer group.
