LIBRARIAN COMES BACK

Althea Jenkins, who earned a master's in library science from FSU in 1971 (and later a Ph.D. from Nova University), is returning to FSU to direct the university libraries. She replaces William Summers, who is retiring.
Jenkins has been executive director of the Association of College and Research Libraries in Chicago.
"If anybody had told me in a dream that this would come true, I would not have believed it," she told the Tallahassee Democrat. "I'm ecstatic about coming back to Tallahassee."
