Beverly Horn Hamilton (B.S.) will have a biography in the 21st "Who's Who among American Women."

1959

Virginia Kiser Ray (B.S.) is South Carolina's Adult Education Director of the Year. She has been the Sumter County adult education director since 1993 and has worked in education as a teacher and an administrator for 36 years.

1970

William T. Hardy (B.S.) has been named CEO/President of Shuttle Accounting Inc. in Merritt Island, Fla.

Janet Stoner (B.S., M.S. '72) has been appointed to Texaco's Executive Council. She is responsible for the company's worldwide human resources policies and programs.

1971

Dennis "Denny" Bunn (B.S., B.S. '87) has been promoted to head coach of the Maclay School Marauders high school swimming team.

George E. Tragos (B.A., J.D. '74) is chairman-elect of the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar. He resides in Clearwater.

1973

Barry R. Anderson (B.S.) has been promoted to executive vice president, administration, at QAD Public Relations.

1974

Kevin M. Dougherty (B.W.) has donated a significant collection of photographs his father took in World War II to the recently formed Institute on World War II and the Human Experience at FSU. His father is Paul Dougherty, 84, of Davie, Fla.

1976

Stephen M. Condon (M.S.) was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree in educational leadership from the University of Mississippi.

1977

Marianne Schaub Armstrong (M.S., Ph.D. '86) has joined PathoGenesis Corp. as director of clinical development. PathoGenesis is based in Seattle, Wash.

1978

Patricia A. Green-Powell (M.S., Ph.D. '93) has been named interim dean of students at Bainbridge College in Georgia.

Anne B. Kerr (M.S. '78, Ph.D. '89) has been promoted to vice president for institutional advancement at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

1979

John R. Forney (B.S.) was awarded a Ph.D in Biology from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

1982

Major Steven S. Simpson (B.S. '82) received the Navy and Marine Corps Air Medal while assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 365, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau.

1983

Zaheerah J. Shakir (M.S., S.P.E. '85) is moving to Atlanta to be an administrator for DeKalb County Schools, which serves 85,000 students.

1986

Debra Ehlers Berens (B.S.) has accepted a part-time instructor position with Georgia State University to teach in the graduate level rehabilitation counseling program.

Stephen A. Kohnke (B.S.) is a candidate for a doctor of jurisprudence degree from Mississippi College.

1987

T. Gregory Richardson (B.S.) has been named controller at Hobbs Group, LLC in Connecticut. Hobbs Group is a specialty provider of insurance brokerage and risk management services.

1990

Karla Kublin Jennings (B.S.) has joined the Office of University Relations at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga., as communications coordinator.

Gerald E. Quattlebaum (B.S.) has been appointed leasing director for Dasco Companies, Medical Real Estate Development. He will be responsible for overseeing all marketing and leasing of medical projects in the South Florida area.

1991

Joseph J. Carter (B.S.) formed the law firm of Ferrero Buschel Carter & Schwartzreich in Fort Lauderdale. The law firm specializes in criminal defense and personal injury litigation.

Raymond G. Ferrero (B.A. '91) formed the law firm of Ferrero Buschel Carter & Schwartzreich in Fort Lauderdale.

Anthony M. Georges-Pierre (B.S.) received a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

Hildy M. Herrera (B.A.) joined Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP as an associate in the law firm's tort section. It is located in Kansas City, Mo.

Charles K. Stafford (M.A.) graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer Course at Marine Corps Base Camp, Lejeune, N.C.

1992

Lt. Carri A. Robbins (B.S.) visited Hong Kong while on a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean and Arabian Gulf Aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

1994

Lt. J.g. Vera C. Schick (B.S.N.) departed to participate in a multinational exercise in the Mediterranean and Baltic Sea aboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort.

1995

William Lewis Jr. (M.B.A.) has been awarded a $10,000 KPMG Minority Information Systems Doctoral Scholarship to pursue his doctorate at FSU.

1996

Steven C. Goff (B.S.) was designated a naval aviator while serving with Training Squadron 31, Corpus Christi, Texas.
