1957C. Glennon Rowell (B.S.) was named dean of the College of Education, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was a faculty member in FSU's College of Education from 1967 to 1980. 1958Ed Hida (M.S.W.) is vice president of residential services at Milwaukee Protestant Home in Milwaukee. The home is a non-profit retirement residence. 1961Gordon Carper (M.A., Ph.D. '64) is a Dana professor of history at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. He was selected for inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, 1998. Betty Lentz Siegel (Ph.D.), president of Kennesaw State University, received an Outstanding Alumnus of Kentucky Award, given by the Kentucky Advocates for Higher Education Inc. She also received the 1998 Distinguished Public Relations Award given by the Georgia Chapter of the P.R. Society of America. |

Sackmann (B.S., M.B.A. '70) is chief controller and chief accounting officer of Equity One Inc., a real estate investment trust that acquires, renovates, develops and manages community and neighborhood shopping centers. 1967George L. Peter (B.S.) is market conduct exam coordinator for CNA in Chicago. 1971Judge George S. Reynolds (B.W. 'J.D. '74) was named chief judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit. Reynolds has been a circuit judge since '88. Charles G. Rex (B.M., M.M. '72) is on a new C.D. called "Music for Doubles" on the Elysium Label. 1974Daryl W. Stewart (B.S.) has been appointed talent director for GMR Marketing in New Berlin, Wisc. GMR is the largest special event marketing company in the United States. 1975Cdr. Michael J. Barea (B.S.) will be the executive officer of Tactical Air Controller Squadron Two One (The Blackjacks) in Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Virginia Beach, Va. Michael G. Berenbaum (Ph.D.) was appointed by President Clinton to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. Dr. Berenbaum is president and chief executive officer of the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. 1977Nancy T. Bowen (B.A.) is a partner in the international law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. She practices in all phases of federal tax controversy. Bowen works in the Houston office of the firm. 1978John O. "Jackie" Pons Jr. (B.S.) is principal of Deerlake Middle School in Tallahassee. Pons has been a basketball coach and athletic director at Rickards High School and commentator for radio broadcasts of the FSU men's basketball team. 1979Anne Longman (J.D.) is a partner in the law firm of Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. Her firm has joined the Environmental Law Network concentrating in environmental and land use law and litigation. The network now consists of nine law firms. 1980Jerry L. Demings (B.S.) is Orlando's 34th police chief and its first black chief. James C. Renick (Ph.D.) was elected to a one-year term on the board of directors of the 1.7-million-member Automobile Club of Michigan. Renick is chancellor of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. 1982Thomas "Alan" Cox (B.S., Ph.D. '92) is assistant principal of the new northeast high school in Tallahassee. Chris Nicoll (B.S.) was promoted to principal analyst at Current Analysis Inc., which is a source of online competitive intelligence and analysis in Cambridge, Mass. 1983Donald F. Glisson Jr. (B.S.) is the president of Triad Financial Services Inc. in Jacksonville. Triad Financial specializes in mortgage lending for mobile homes. 1984Kimberli J. Boyd (B.F.A.) founded the company Women of Substance three years ago in Washington D.C. She is a consultant and workshop presenter for the Kennedy Center education department and artistic director of Dancing Between the Lines, a solo performance company and arts education organization. 1986Maria T. Bailey (B.S.) has been named by Rebublic Industries as vice president of AutoRewards. Jerry W. Parrish (B.S.) graduated from U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General School and is employed as assistant general counsel, Prague Investments a.s., Prague, Czech Republic. 1990David L. Fitzgerald (B.S.) is district sales manager of Tampa/South Atlantic region for Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. Catherine Branning Rodriguez (J.D.) was made a partner with the law firm Jackson, Lewis, Schnitler & Krupman in their Orlando office. David W. Springer (B.A., M.S.W. '92, Ph.D. '97) was given the Texas Exes Teaching Excellent Award for 1998 - '99. He was nominated by the students in the School of Social Work at U.T. Marc C. Stewart (B.S.) received a B.S. in physical therapy from East Tennessee State University. Elizabeth L. Watts (B.S., Ph.D. '97) is assistant professor of English education at the University of South Florida. She was awarded a 1998 Assembly on Literature for Adolescents of NCTE Foundation Research Grant. 1991Stephen W. Nesmith (B.S.) has been named director of new media for the Orlando Regional Health Care System. He is also completing a masters degree at Rollins College. Mark A. Smith (B.S.) is general manager of Panache Computer Consulting and Services in Tokyo, Japan. Nathan D. Tracy (B.S.) is a flight instructor at Naval Air Station in Pensacola. 1992Brad Johnson (B.S.) was traded to the Washington Redskins from the Minnesota Vikings. Jon M. Lawson (B.S.) participated in Operation Desert Fox while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, currently deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf. During the operation, U.S. forces launched attacks on military installations in Iraq. Lt. Carri A. Robbins (B.S. '92) completed a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Arabian Gulf aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. 1993Capt. Joshua M. Lenzini (B.S.) is changing command after 22 months as commander of the 24th Ordinance Company at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga. He will attend the University of Central Florida starting this summer as a masters student in industrial engineering. 1994Eric J. Brosch (B.A.) is an editorial assistant in the Office of Communication and Publications of the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Patricia M. Lanzon (M.S., S.P.E. '95) is principal of White Cloud Middle School in Holland, Mich. Erika Royal (B.A. '94) has joined the Miami office of Holland & Knight LLP as an associate. Royal received her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. 1995JulieAnn Thompson Feezor (B.S.) received a master of divinity in Christian education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Timothy J. Mixon (B.S.) has received a master's degree from Troy State University. He works as an investment executive with J.P. Turner & Company in Atlanta. Gabriele U. Stauf (Ph.D.) is director of the Bainbridge College Learning Center and assistant professor of English at Bainbridge College. 1st Lt. Scott A. Westerfield (B.A.), a U.S. Marine, completed sustainment training in Hawaii while assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and embarked aboard the ships of the USS Boxer Amphibious Ready Group. 1996Kevin J. Legge (B.S.) is a Marine 1st Lt. and was recognized for his outstanding achievement while serving with Combat Engineer Company, Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan. 1997Matthew T. Brown (B.S.), an Air Force 2nd lieutenant, received his "Wings of Gold" and was designated a navigator after completing the 23-week navigator training course with Training Squadron 86, Naval Air Station, Pensacola. Gregory T. Mills (B.M.) is travelling with the Broadway musical "Big." He plays the part of Josh Baskin, a 12- year-old trapped in a grown man's body after an arcade genie grants his wish. He performed with "Big" in Tallahassee in January. Mary P. Timberlake (B.S.) has earned a master's of accounting from Virginia Tech, with an option in accounting information systems. She is a staff consultant with Deloitte & Touche in Miami. 1998Eric S. Golden (J.D.) has joined as an associate the law firm of Baker & Hostetler L.L.P. in Orlando. Gabriel L.
