Elie Wiesel will speak on campus
Holocaust survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel will be the
opening speaker June 23 at FSU's Holocaust Summer Study Institute for Secondary
School Teachers.
His lecture at 4 p.m. in Ruby Diamond Auditorium will be open to the public.
Wiesel's appearance is sponsored by Jim and Jan Moran/J.M. Family Enterprises,
with arrangements by the B'nai B'rith Lecture Bureau.
The institute, sponsored by the FSU Center for Professional Development,
is a week-long program for teachers on the history, economics, sociology,
political science and art of the Holocaust. It will be June 23-29 at the
Turnbull Florida State Conference Center, 555 West Pensacola St.
