George Dickie (B.A. '49) was mistakenly listed among the deceased alumni in the May-June issue of Florida State Times. Dr. Dickey, we are happy to report, is not deceased. He has retired as professor of philosophy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, effective at the end of the 1994-95 academic year. That is the news we should have reported.

Dr. Dickie said his close friends in Chicago are aware that he is alive, but he wanted the error corrected for the benefit of old friends from FSU whom he has not seen for many years.

The Florida State Times apologizes for the error and wishes Dr. Dickie a long and happy retirement.
