Research Interests
Dr. Mondello's research interests include finance and economics of sport organizations. Specifically, he is interested in examining issues related to stadium financing and their ancillary financial and non-pecuniary benefits. His research has included using CVM (contingent valuation) measuring the consumption benefits of public goods, investigated issues related to ticket pricing, economic impact analysis, competitive balance, and franchise valuation. Dr. Mondello has published papers in the International Journal of Sport Finance, Economic Development Quarterly, Sport Marketing Quarterly, the International Journal of Sport Management, the Journal of Sports Economics, and the Journal of Sport Management.
Teaching Areas:
Dr. Mondello teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance. In both 2003 and 2007 he taught a Global Sport Finance course in FSU's International Program in Paris and London.
Professional Interests:
In addition to his teaching and research, he is a member of the Florida State University athletic committee, the budget committee of the athletic committee, and the CORE committee of the College of Education.
