The meeting of the 60th Student Senate was called to order at 8:20 p.m. by Student Body Vice President Clifford Counts. Senator LaCroix led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Moment of Silent Reflection:

Corrections: None. Student Body Vice President Counts open the floor for nominations for Senate President. Senator Briana Toole nominated Senator Nathasha Cole; she accepted the nomination. Senator Dan Dawson nominated Senator Jeff Entine; he accepted the nomination. Senator Ryan Schulte nominated Senator David Loe; he accepted the nomination. There was a motion by Senator LaCroix to close the nominations, the motion passed. All of the nominees expressed to the Senate their desire to become Senate President. After all the speeches were completed the Senate voted. There was a run-off between Senators Cole and Entine. After hearings pro comments for both nominees the Senate voted again. Senator Nathasha Cole was elected as the 60th Student Senate President. Senate President Cole open the floor for nominations for Student Senate Pro Tempore. Senators Brett Kushner and Maisie Kaufman were nominated. After the nominees and supporters of the two finished speaking the Senate voted. Senator Brett Kushner was elected Senate Pro Tempore. Closing Announcements: Senator Freelove welcome all the new Senators and thanked everyone who supported the COBOL showcase. Senator Coakley told the Senators that if they had any questions, to please come to see her. Senator Seifter said that the Senate needs an air of professionalism. Senator Sokos congratulated Adam Fox on being elected as the Chair of Campus Recreation Board. Senator Vouvalis announced that Garnet and Gold Key applications are in the SGA office for those interested in becoming members. Senator Toole said that Representative Curtis Richardson needs help in helping one of his constituents who is having problems taking care of his family. Senator Rosenkoetter said that Senate needs to stand up against injustice against anyone. He also announced that applications are available for anyone interested in becoming an orientation leader. Senator Segura announced that he has started a new medical organization call HELP. Former Senate President Kourtney Hahn announced that Clock and Seal invitations are here if anyone wants to come. Sandra Miles, Joyce Howard and Mattie Durham introduced themselves to the Senate. Senate President Cole told the Senate that she will announce committee appointments next week. She told the Senate that she cannot wait to work with them and work on making SGA work for the students. Cole thanked everyone for their support.
