	January 25th, 2007 Tessa J. Bartholomeusz Lecture Janice Willis of Wesleyan University will deliver the Bartholomeusz Lecture on Thursday, April 3, in the Broad Auditorium of the Claude Pepper Center.
	January 15th, 2007 R. Laurence Moore to Deliver Keynote at 2008 Graduate Symposium R. Laurence Moore, the Howard A. Newman Professor in American Studies, will deliver the keynote lecture, "Religion and Nationalism in the New Global Age" at the 2008 Graduate Student Conference.

	October 27, 2005 Can a Christian be a Darwinian? On November 8th, the department gathered for a lecture by John Haught (Georgetown University) on the compatibility of Christianity and evolution.
	October 27, 2005 Rogers Lecture and Reception On October 27th, the department celebrated its anniversary in the first of a series of lectures planned to mark the occasion.
	September 30, 2005 Department Turns 40 2005 marks the fortieth anniversary of the department of religion at Florida State University.

	August 23, 2005 Politics and Religion in France and the United States On September 25th and 26th, the department cosponsored an international conference on religion and politics in France and the United States.
	August 23, 2005 John Priest Lecture Series Established by a generous gift from Gloria Priest, the John Priest Lecture honors the life and work of John Priest (1929-1998).
	August 23, 2005 Tessa J. Bartholomeusz Lecture Series The Tessa J. Bartholomeusz Lecture in Religion has been established by the faculty of the Department of Religion, Florida State University, in memory of our late colleague, Tessa J. Bartholomeusz (1958-2001).
