Background

Eibert Tigchelaar (Ph.D. 1994, University of Groningen, the Netherlands) is a scholar of Second Temple Judaism with a special research interest in the Dead Sea Scrolls. He is secretary of the Journal for the Study of Judaism in the Persian, Hellenistic and Roman Period, associate editor of the Brill series Studies on the Texts of the Desert of Judah, and executive secretary of the International Organization for Qumran Studies.
