People in Instructional Systems

Instructional Systems at Florida State University is much more than a program. It's a community, a community whose boundaries reach beyond the walls of a university and the streets of Tallahassee.

  • Faculty

    Our Instructional Systems faculty are leaders in the fields of Instructional Systems and Performance Technology. They are developers of theories and models, publishers of a diverse array of research, exemplary teachers, commited to putting the theories of instructional design into practice.

  • Students

    Our students come from locations throughout the world. They represent a broad diversity of life, ranging from those with years of experience in private corporations or in the public sector to those whose background is in public service to students entering the program from various undergraduate degrees. The IS program at FSU has a long history with the military services. Each semester our student body includes representatives of several branches of the US Military as well as various international military services.

  • Alumni

    Graduates of the instructional systems program have gone on to serve in positions in academia, government and business and industry. They are editors for distinguished journals in our field, developers of well-known models, professors at universities leading the way in education, instructional designers and performance technologists commited to creating and upholding the highest standards.

    The Instructional Systems community reaches out by participating with various organizations, businesses, universities and programs. Leading companies recruit our students and graduates each semester, based on the sound theoretical and practical program offered.
