FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF EDUCATION FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE TO COE GRADUATE STUDENTS 2001-2002 UNIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP The University Fellowship Competition is a highly competitive award of $15,000 covering two semesters (fall and spring). Recipients also receive 12 hours of matriculation and, if needed. 12 hours of out-of-state tuition waivers per semester. The competition has four groups, general and minority, and new and continuing within each of these groups. Students are limited to three awards each. The suggested minimum criteria are, 3.5 GPA and a 1250 GRE. Programs must rank applicants in each group and may only submit folders ranked among the top four in each group. FELLOWSHIP The College Teaching Fellowship is an award of $6,300 covering two semesters (fall and spring) that requires recipients to perform a teaching or research assignment. Recipients also receive up to 12 hours of matriculation and, if needed, 12 hours of out-of-state tuition waivers per semester. Recipients must be an incoming new graduate student at FSU, have at least a 3.2 overall (four year) undergraduate GPA or, if graduate, a 3.5 overall GPA, be highly supported by former and/or current teachers, and have a combined GRE (verbal and quantitative) score of 1150. 0 Required Documents: Contact: DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIP
The Dissertation Fellowship is a 12-month award of $10,000
to permit full-time on campus work on the doctoral dissertation during
the final year of study. Recipients must be full-time (12 hours) degree-sleeking
students during the tenure of the award, will not be required to perform
duties, and are precluded from accepting any other award or employment.
The award also provides tuition waivers. | |
