Communication and Leadership

Articulating goals and processes of the program/project to several publics. Conceptualizing, synthesizing, promoting and directing a program/project that reflects a commitment to organizational goals and professional ethics.

  1. Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
  2. Uses effective interpersonal communication techniques.
  3. Develops and sustains professional and personal networks.
  4. Participates and contributes to professional associations.
  5. Provides positive reinforcement and motivational incentives.
  6. Serves as a role model for others by demonstrating good professional practices.
  7. Demonstrates understanding of a professional code of ethics that reflects published standards of professional associations.
  8. Recognizes, explores and uses a broad range of ideas and practices, thinking logically and creatively without undue bias.
  9. Establishes and implements an outreach program.
  10. Advocates the use of the instructional design process for performance improvement.
