We
have a minimum of six, funded, graduate assistantships for appropriately
qualified students. These will be held in the departments of history
or philosophy or in other appropriate departments. Duties will include
such work as teaching assistance in courses, research assistance
for faculty, and general administration of the history and philosophy
of science program.
Students are also eligible to apply for competively funded university
fellowships and scholarships. Details on these can be found at the Graduate Studies website
Prospective
graduate students must be accepted by both the
university and the History & Philosophy of Science program in
order to be admitted into a program of studies. There is an online
History &
Philosophy of Science Program Graduate Admissions Application
available for prospective students to complete and submit to the
advising staff. The application
for admission to the university is also online. Prospective
graduate students who wish to apply for a program assistantship
will be able to appropriately note this on the Program Application found lower on this page under the History
& Philosophy of Science Program Online Application link.
If
you have any questions regarding the status of your graduate application
please e-mail the Program Director, Michael
Ruse.
