The task force is charged with identifying future directions for FSU based on the views and opinions of alumni, friends of the University and political leaders. Tom Petway, chairman of Construction Insurance Services of Jacksonville, is heading the committee. The group will hold its initial meetings in mid-February and mid-March.
Committee members will review numerous issues and opportunities, will reach a consenus on their recommendations and will present a report to President Talbot D'Alemberte. D'Alemberte created an internal group last fall of faculty leaders who also are focusing on a plan for the future of the university.
